Goals and Policies
Over the years a number of goals and policies have been adopted to guide land preservation actions. Some of these goals and policies have been adopted jointly by the City of Bellingham, Whatcom County, and Lake Whatcom Water and Sewer District (e.g. Joint Resolution Whatcom County 92-73, Bellingham No. 92-68, District 10 No. 560). Others have been adopted by individual jurisdictions and incorporated into various documents such as comprehensive plans.
