When to Plant

You've done the research, decided on the site, and picked out plants. When is the best time to dig into this? Spring is ideal because of predictable rains and optimal growing season. Summer is okay, but make sure there is adequate water for new plants. Fall planting is also okay because there's rain, but choose hardy plants and consider mulching them to protect the new root growth.
